Which is a better area to live in Southampton or Tamworth?

Again which areas are nice with a great view ( a lake or river) which has the better shopping area. If you guys can give the names it would mean a lot

    tamworth is a bit grim but much cheaper than southampton, i prefer southampton as it is a lot sunnier than tamworth being by the south coast and it is quite a lovely place too. as david s said its very near some beautiful places like the new forest and isle of wight. southampton has a far superior shopping area to tamworth but tamworth also has the advantage of being close to birmingham and its excellent bullring center.

    Although Southampton is not a very attractive city it is close to the coast, the beautiful Isle of Wight and the New Forest National Park. Southampton also has excellent shopping facilities
