is the isle of wight better than the isles of scilly?

I have the choice of walking on the isles of scilly or around the isle of wight next year. Was just wondering which place would be best

    They are quite different - the Isle of Wight is busier and has more 'attractions' for holiday makers such as children's parks, activities and other commercial things and it is of course always busy with sailors especially in Cowes, but that's not to say it wouldn't be a nice place for a walking holiday. Isles of Scilly are much more remote and 'wild' and less population scattered around - lots of natural beauty and usually warmer weather than mainland UK. Depending where you live the I.O W is possibly easier to get to, by ferry from the mainland - Isles of Scilly usual way is down to Cornwall then a short helicopter ride. Hope you have a lovely time whatever you decide.

    The Isle of Wight was awesome, I went there 😀 And it’s down south, and in the summer and september (so I’ve been told) it has good weather comparable to majorca.

    The Isle of Wight!

    The Isle of Wight has some 67 miles of coastal footpaths and 500 miles of footpaths in total. It offers the most beautiful walking for walkers at all levels but there are some pretty good hills for those who want a challenge. We host a bi-annual walking festival in Spring and Autumn with 60 odd walks on offer, designed to suit a range of ages and abilities.

    It is one of the best ways to see the Island and certainly causes the least impact to our natural environment. Good quality accommodation, often aimed at walkers, and better than average weather make it a very pleasant place to visit.

    I’d choose Isles of Scilly, just because it is more remote and less accessible. The Isle of Wight can be accessed by regular ferry, so you could choose to go there any time.
