Hey, I’m an American teen and want to go to one of these festivals next year with a couple friends. Which one do you recommend.. we want to camp out too. Which one do you think is more of a chill atmosphere (or less of a crowd)?

Thanks!

  1. I live on the Island, but the Isle of Wight festival is rubbish, crowded, chav-ridden, shitty unoriginal line-ups and not chilled in any way. Glastonbury is much better. Note: Apart from the obvious, there is no connection whatsoever with the original Isle of Wight 60's festivals, they just pretend there is and create the impression by ripping off the old promotional material. If I were you I'd go to Bestival, far more "chilled" and still on the Isle of Wight. I've done all the major festivals and Bestival is extra special. You'll thank me. http://www.bestival.net/

IOW. Last year 84% of people did not require Wellington boots….3% better than Glastonbury.
    Glorious, wonderful British weather!!!
Put Wellington boots into search box…click ‘Images’.
Glastonbury is known for wet muddy conditions but it’s a high point of the festival season.
IOW will do you fine…it’s a very good festival.
Call in at the dinosaur museum in Blackgang Chine while you’re there.
Isle of Wight is a laid back very pleasant small island made of chalk with a thin grassy covering and some woodlands. The chalk cliffs are a good sight but dangerous for climbing on.
Weathering of chalk exposes dinosaur bones. Best place in UK for them.
IOW is much more of a chill-out than Glastonbury, which is a more of a heat-up. Hot. Even the rain steams. Rockin’ raindrops.
    10 000dB and rising.
Go see the IOW…nice place. Sanity reigns. A bit.
    Have a good time.
