  1. "the Royal Family lives" The numerous ones in Central London or in the surrounding London suburbs? Sandringham House in Norfolk? Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland? Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh scotland? Carisbrooke Castle, Newport, Isle of Wight? Claremont, Esher, Surrey? Dunfermline Palace, Dunfermline? Eltham Palace, Kent? Hatfield House, Hertfordshire? The Castle of Mey, near John O' Groats? Stirling Castle, Stirlingshire? Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex? To name just one or two............................... and with accents changing every 10 miles or so, not an easy task.............. and 'plum in gob' English is not my idea of a prestigious accent......just listen to Cockney (Sir) Alan Sugar accent tells you nothing at all about social or economic status............ some of the most wealthy people in the UK live in Northern Ireland and in one particular county there are more millionaires per square mile than in Mayfair in London but you wouldn't know from their accent

” The area of where the Royal Family lives” Well, they live in different parts of the UK depending on the time of year. So where are you talking about? They have London -Buckingham Palace, Norfolk, Windsor, Scotland.

The Royal Family do not speak what the majority of people in those areas speak anyway.

I would not rate what the Royal Family speak as number 1 either.

Accent, depends on where you live, not money. You can live in London and speak very well, but not be rich. You can live in London and speak very well and be a millionaire.

The difference? Only money. Both have a London accent just spoken well.

Accent is not always an indication of social economics Status.

For example: Someone might speak more cockney, but be very rich. Someone, like me, might speak well and pronounce all words, but not be rich one bit! (I do not speak like the Queen. I have a London accent)

Accent is not an indication of wealth.

As the others said, there are in fact MANY places they live and those areas all have difference accents (but they do not live everywhere, obviously!)

    So it depends!

As to Meg Ta, oh dear, not had your choccy milk? Go to bed!

Why do people feel the need to be so horrible to others! I don’t blame Don’t crap on me because the system sucks, for getting mad!

    Appalling answer Meg.
