Good seaside town to live in the south?

Hi guys!
I’ve been living in Bristol for 3 years now and I’d like to move somewhere on the coast as I love the sea and got a bit fed up with Bristol.
I’ve been trying to get some information about Bournemouth or Brighton but I would also consider smaller towns as long as they’re not too far from a big one, just in case.
I’d love to move to a nice and lively place, neither boring nor “crazy parties”
Any Ideas??
Thanks a lot

  1. Bournemouth is good. It has everything you need to live there in the winter as well being a summer seaside resort. It also has very good road, rail and air transport systems. Chchester is a little way inland but only a few minutes drive from the sea. It is quiet when you want to rest and reasonably close to Portsmouth and Bognor Regis. Portsmouth is a very lively town, big student population, lots of nightlife and two theatres add to it's interest. It is no longer the drab "navy town" of historical reputation. Immediately next door is Southsea which is a pure resort town. You also have easy rail and road transport and a choice of car ferry, fast catamaran or hovercraft to get to the Isle of Wight. Lee on The Solent is an expanding small resort right on the Solent about half way between Southampton and Portsmouth. You would be about 40 mins drive to either town. It has a good pebble beach and a proper High Street. You can watch all the enormous ships bound for Southampton and Fawley from the seafront. The town of Gosport is about five minutes drive away and there is excellent shopping and services as well as a short ferry across Portsmouth Harbour for a night out in "Pompey". Lee has an airfield which houses the Coastguard helecopter and gliding and general aviation clubs. The downside of Lee is that it has no railway station and the airfield doesn't handle commercial flights so if your car is bust or roads congested you are stuck. The nearest main line station is Fareham - about five miles away. But there are buses. I think Lee on The Solent is a place that you could justifiably visit to see if it's what you want.

I live in Blackpool, there is a high crime rate so it puts people off, I have visited Scarborough a few times and it is amazing! Infact I stayed at the grand hotel!
