london to isle of wight?

I’m trying to go for the IOW festival in june .. how could I get over there from london ? how much is a flight ? any information welcome!

  1. There is no airport on The Isle od Wight.You will need to take a train down to Portsmouth or Southampton and hop on the ferry. You can get a rail ticket which includes the ferry,but from what I recall its not cheap.The water between the mainland and the Isle of Wight is apparently the most expensive piece of water to cross in the world.

    you can drive then take your car in the ferry to the isle of wight I did it before it is a nice trip by car, for flights check lastminute.com

    You can’t fly from London to the Isle of Wight – Its a 90 mile journey best done by train and ferry, as the island is small with narrow roads which will be hopelessly overcrowded at Festival time. From London Waterloo South West Trains run to Portsmouth Harbour every 30 minutes taking 90 minutes; they connect there with Wightlink Ferries to Ryde Isle Wight from where there will be frequent buses to the festival site at Newport I.O.W. Through tickets to Ryde Isle of Wight including train and ferry are available from London Waterloo.
