suprise holiday for my fiancees 21st birthday?

my fiancee said in general conversation that he wants to go on a little holiday to the isle of wight. he’s birthday isn’t until september, so i’m trying to organise it as a suprise for him, but i’ve never tried to do anything like this before, so i don’t know how to do it, or what i need to organise exactly. i don’t want to forget anything important. if anyone has any helpful tips for doing this sort of thing, or any helpful advise, and websites, i would be very grateful. thanks.
do we need a passport to travel to the isle of wight from the uk?

    Just make sure you have the transport and hotel sorted out. If you are looking for info the Lonely planets guides are usually spot on. also try the isle of white tourist board online, they will have everything you need. Also try to get an idea of good things to go see and good restaurants to go to. Most of all remember to take enough clothes and passport. I didnt take enough clothes when I went to Prague and I had to go to Marks and Spencer of all places to get a bundle of shorts. Have a good time ********************************* No you dont need a passport but it is handy to have as some hotels will want it to verify your identity
