What is there to do in the Isle of Wight for a 16 year old?

I’m going away with my family in 8 days, we’re going to Shanklin in the Isle of Wight for 2 weeks, staying on a caravan park called Lower Hyde. I’m taking my friend. We’re both 16, and we’re hoping that we’ll meet lots of new people. Is there much night life? Where has the best night life?
