what year should my daughter be in , on the isle of wight?

my daughter is 13 years old she was born on december 10th (1996) , we live in scotland but we should soon be moving to isle of wight (sandown) , can anyone tell me whether she should be in year 8 or year 9 . thanks.

    She would be in Year 8. I'm 14 and in Year 9. She would of have to be 13 before September 1st last year to be in Year 9 now.

    year 8 because i think her birthday’s late i think there’s a special dateline with what year you’ll wind up in
