Whats the best festival in the Uk??

My friend asked me to go to a festival next year and it will be our first time going to one
just wondering what festival in the UK would be the best one from your experiences

    I live on the Isle of Wight and that used to be great, especially 2006 with Prodigy, Foo Fighters and Coldplay headlining - but have dropped standards / changed direction last 2 years. Download is generally amazing, but again this year has lacked amazment. Glastonbury is generally the best, over 1000 acts went this year to the festival and is the biggest. I think this year Reading and Leeds Festival is the best tho, again one of the bigger festivals, and this year headlining is Rage Against The Machine, The Killers and Metallica. If thats not enough, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Tenacious D, Bloc Party, Bullet For My Valentine, Manic Street Preachers, Pendulum, Feeder, The Subways, etc. Excellent line-up.

    Glastonbury. I have been watching it all weekend on BBC 2 and 3. I would love to go there.

    But depends on what music you like? if you meant music festival that is?
    For me, i’d say Reading Festival

    Scarborough Beached Festival.
    It’s free (but still has decent bands playing) and set on a beach, doesn’t get more fun than that!
    Music+Booze+Sand+Sea+Ice Cream=WIN
