    Ferry from Ryde to Portsmouth Harbour. SWT London Waterloo train. Get off at Woking where the trains stop about 25 minutes before reaching London Waterloo. From Woking catch the frequent rail to air bus to Heathrow Terminal 3. Through tickets are available to Heathrow. Depending on where you live on the island you can cross to Southampton or Lymington and travel by train via Woking as well www.southwesttrains.co.uk www.railcard.co.uk (for a 34% discount on your rail tickets)

    Southwest trains from Portsmouth to London Waterloo, underground to Paddington, and then Heathrow Express to Terminal 1,2 &3. Fares are not cheap though!

    Alternative, National Express coaches 3h (roughly the same as the train) and much cheaper one-way fares from £11
